Senior Accountant - Contract (2-3 Months, Possible Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Concord, CA - 100% On-Site
Pay: $48-$58/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide high-level support during a critical project spanning multiple entities. This role offers the opportunity to step into a visible, impactful position with potential for temp-to-hire based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and month-end close activities across multiple entities
• Support and prepare inventory accounting functions, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Assist the CFO with multiple reporting packages, schedules, and ad-hoc analyses
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes

Top Skills & Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting and inventory accounting
• NetSuite and Sage expertise required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs; Macros a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity structures
• CPA license preferred
